FinnFest Visitors Receive Great Deals on Transportation
DTA to Offer FREE Trolley Rides for FinnFest Attendees
Duluth, MN -- The Duluth Transportation Authority (DTA) will provide FREE Trolley service to all FinnFest2008 attendees for all 5 days of the Festival, July 23-27. The DTA has also scheduled a second Trolley to run during Thursday and Friday, July 24-25 from 3:00-6:00pm to accommodate the FinnFest Gallery Hops. This Trolley will also travel down Lake Ave South where at least four of the Galleries are located. FinnFest visitors can use the FREE service by simply showing their FinnFest 2008 nametag.
*The Trolley for Gallery Hops will not provide transportation for Blue Iris Gallery, beyond Aerial Lift Bridge.
Voyaguer Bus Company will provide shuttle service between UMD, St. Scholastica and the DECC with some special runs to Proctor and Superior for FinnFest dinner theatres and plays. The shuttle service will run between Wednesday and Saturday, July 23-26, 8:30 a.m. -11:00 p.m. with Sunday hours from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The cost of unlimited ridership for five days will be $5.00. The tickets and schedules available at the FinnFest Registration Desk at the DECC and at the UMD Kirby Student Center info desk.
The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will provide FREE shuttle service between the DECC and Black Bear Casino on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. daily. Their shuttle will leave the DECC at noon and return every two hours.
